Sleepy Duskywing is common in spring in the northern counties and less common farther south. The habitat is openings in oak woods such as forest edges, dirt roads and clearings. The hostplants are Oaks (Quercus), especially blackjack oak (Quercus marilandica), but other oak species are also used. There is one brood beginning in early to mid-March in the southern part of its range to early May in most northern part of its range in the mountain counties. Early Date: March 19 (Upson County); Late Date: May 7 (Union County). Conservation Status: Secure.
