Polydamas Swallowtail
Battus polydamas

Polydamus Swallowtail has been recorded only once as a stray in Bibb County near Macon. Dr.James C. Brooks of Macon (Bibb County) stated that “up until 1962 only three have been seen in Bibb County, all worn and flown. On June 12, 1962 a fresh female was taken in our yard in Macon. Perhaps a hold-over from a fall stray.” (Harris, Butterflies of Georgia 1972). None has been reported since.
