Cabbage White

Cabbage White, an introduced species from Europe, is common statewide. It prefers open disturbed habitat. The hostplants are various members of the mustard family (Cruciferae or Brassicaceae) including white mustard (Sinapis alba). There are as many as seven broods a year from March to December. Early Date: 15 March (Macon County); Late Date: December 26 (Dooly County). Conservation Status: Secure.
